The Mission/Vacation Begins

Operation Hobson Freedom is about to begin! The website and final preperations are under way. Take a look at the site as it will be updated during our vacation with comments and photos.

Thanks to everyone that has supported me through the planning process... I'm amazed that I have kept my mouth shut the entire time...

It's hard for people to look at a site you didn't link to. ;) Of course, I'm just pulling your leg; I already know where the site is. (I feel privileged.)

People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices. by texas holdem poker

History aside, the almost universal opinion that one's own religious convictions are the reasoned outcome of a dispassionate evaluation of all the major alternatives is almost demonstrably false for humanity in general. If that really were the genesis of most people's convictions, then one would expect the major faiths to be distributed more or less randomly or evenly over the globe. But in fact they show a very strong tendency to cluster...which illustrates what we all suspected anyway: that social forces are the primary determinants of religious belief for people in general. To decide scientific questions by appeal to religious orthodoxy would therefore be to put social forces in place of empirical evidence. by free poker

The praise of ancient authors proceeds not from the reverence of the dead, but from the competition, and mutual envy of the living. by texas holdem rules
