San Antonio, Day II

My second day in San Antonio has been restful and fairly uneventful. Last night, we went out to dinner at a mexican restaurant on the river walk. It was a fun evening filled with much talk about Iraq. I guess that is what happens when you have dinner with 3 political science professors.

There was some debate about me presenting my paper this morning, but I decided to sleep in and also wait to see if a projector would be avialable tomorrow. So, I am going to present at 11:30am tomorrow morning. This will allow me to go and see all of the other NKU people present.

Today, I slept in and then walked around San Anotonio for a little while. I keep getting confused as to what time it is, so I ended up coming back early. I did make it out to see the inside of the Alamo and spent some time at the river walk. It is extremely nice around this area. It helps that there is a Håagen-Dazs shop too! I posted a few more pictures in my San Antonio photo gallery.

Tonight I am going to the president's reception and then we are going out to dinner. On Saturday I might go to Mexcio or I might stay here and go to the mexican market. That would be $30 cheaper.

Gotta say that I am loving this computer. It is just too sexy and fast!

Made it to San Antonio

I'm at the Southwestern Social Sciences Annual Meeting in San Antonio this week. The paper that I am presenting is on the AIDS crisis in Sub-Saharan Africa. I am hoping that this will be a good week...

Jason dropped me off at the airport this morning and then I met up with Dr. Minix and Dr. Dolive for the flight. The flight was uneventful and extremely painless. Once we landed, we got our baggage and headed to the hotel. The weather is a little bit hotter then home with some humidity. After settling into the room, we went to the River Walk area for lunch. The River Walk is extremely beautiful. I kind of wish that Cincinnati had something like that. After lunch, we registered for the conference and stopped by the Alamo. Tonight I am going out to dinner with Dr. Minix, Dr. Dolive, and another professor.

I've started posting my pictures in the SSSA San Antonio gallery. Hopefully, I will post a bunch more this week.
