People just post odd items up on ebay for auction. Take a look at Disturbing Auctions/a>. It is a site that lists odd and freaky ebay auctions.
Can you believe it? There are a little under 30 people in my Into to Geography class at 7:30am. I thought that I was nuts for thinking about taking the class, so I didn't expect to have about 30 people. I assumed that there would be somewhere around 10 lost souls attempting to stay awake in the morning.
Then in my Econ class, I can't use my PowerBook to take notes. The classroom is an "electronics-free zone". I guess that is kind of like NAFTA. Good for you if you are in Mexico, but takes a massive amount of jobs from the US and Canada. I'm also amazed by the amount of paper that we are going to waste in that class. Each student is to print out an article and a 50 word summary. The professor doesn't even read the articles. These are called "good-faith" extra credit assignments. Who isn't for extra credit, but it seems like some sort of major waste to me.
How the hell can Taco Bell be out of beans. I went over the the Taco Bell on campus to get two bean burritos and they were out of beans. Now that is screwed up!@
Since my tags expire this month, I headed over the the Kenton County Clerk's Office to renew my registration, get new tags, and the sexy new KY license place. I begged to keep my old plates, but I was told that was not an option. Since I wasn't willing to pay $40 or more for some other plate style, I was stuck with the telley-tubby/Walmart plate.
While I was finishing up, another man walked into the office to renew his registration. When he say the new plates he stated that "these new plates were for gay people". I wanted to walk up to him and slap him for being such an asshole...
I setup the new version of PHP iCalendar today. It now has a combined view so that I can see all of my calendars at the same time. It seems like it is the only program that is able to do it! .Mac doesn't even to that yet.
So, if you really want to know where I am, take a look at my calendar.
I was reading Cary Tennis' Since You Asked... and a paragraph about relationships just caught my eye:
Third, about this "stamina" you refer to: Being in a relationship is not like being in the Boston Marathon. In a good relationship, you can pull over and rest. There's not a throng of thousands that will pass you if you flag. You might have tough days, but you're forgiven. You get a good night's sleep and the next day he's still there, and you try again. You're not competing. That's what makes it a relationship and not a job.
That really seems to put a lot of my feelings into words here. We both go through hard times and still wake-up next to each other... If only most people were that lucky!
My Sidekick aka Hiptop, has been crapping out on me a lot lately. it makes me want to go out on buy a phone. So, I decided to take a peak and see what is out there. I now found my new phone... A Siemens SX1. Very sexy, but not out yet. The only downside is that it doesn't have full keyboard and I just love the Sidekick's keyboard!
Right now I am too poor to get another phone, so I am just going to have to wait for T-Mobile to fix it for me.
I just finished uploading the rest of our pictures from vacation. You can find our vacation photos here.
Today I finally finished up my class schedule. I had been struggling with wether or not to add an additional class. I know that the next semester could turn out to be a bit difficult since my mom's estate should be wrapping up around the anniversary of her death. So, here is the final draft of my schedule... Subject to change of course!
ANT100: Cultural Anthropology
ECO200: Principles of Macroeconomics
WMS385: HIV/AIDS: The Global Challenge
GEO101: World Regional Geography
HIS321: Modernization: Non-Western World
Note the lack of math and programming classes. This is the beginning of my journey to the International Studies program. I really think that I am going to enjoy my history, HIV, and Anthropology classes. I am not sure how geography and macroeconomics are going to be... I have not concept of geography, so this might not be too much fun! ;)
Just think, I have only about 3 more semesters of scheduling classes!
